Police in Kisoro District have arrested three of their own officers after a resident was fatally shot during an operation connected to the recovery of a stolen motorcycle.

The victim, identified as Hassan Mwijuke, a 26-year-old boda boda rider from Gafuruzo Parish in Nyarubuye Sub-county, was shot during an encounter with the officers as they pursued a motorcycle reportedly stolen from Mbarara.
